I would say that hand on heart, it is def, the materials.
DO NOT REMOVE the grid.
most GOOD, tints are fine for the DIYer, follow the instyructions to the letter and dont attempt to "wing it" or ignore anything.
a LONGGGG while ago I mirror tinted, my capri, and it did buble where the grids where.
Shortly afterwards on another Capri I used a more expensive one, SAME TECHNNEQUES and NO bubbles
you can DIY, but get the best you can buy
