hopefully your p.p.i. is being done by a solid aircooler indy.
- apart from mechanical issues, in respect to the interior -
964 series both coupes & cabs (more so) may experience water leaks which tend to pool in the front footwells. so may not be a problem or may be ....you used the term on the original post "rotted" which seems to imply more than wear usage.

so could be an issue or not.....if no evidence of rust.....basically replacing the carpets in these cars/cleaning up the undersurface can be decent diy project (lots of posts here or on other 911 forum).

not sure of your location but if car is anywhere near snow conditions, have a long hard look at the metal surfaces around the windshield (especially bottom corners) and around the rear glass, as well as the panel below both headlights. these cars are prone to rust in those areas (expensive fix) look for any sign of bubbling or prior repair (i can send you photos of exact locations if need be).
