I have a 97 boxster that I purchased two months ago, its has 133,000 miles on it and runs nice!!
I did my first oil change after 2500 miles and found small mettalic peices in the filter that were magnetic. Had indy mech give second opinion he said probably time to do ims. I just got ln kit, should be doing the job soon. I left some pics of my filter, kind of hard to see but you'll get the picture.(no pun intended,lol)
Will post pics of bearing once I pull it out, for me at least I will have some peace of mind knowing it has been upgraded. No longer worrying every time I hear a strange sound. Which usually is the car next to me.
