The old bearing in my car was perfect. I'm still glad I did it because now I can enjoy driving it a lot more. I know there are other failure modes, but not as common. Knocking out the IMS and AOS has me feeling pretty good for a while. Water pump and reservoir will be the next items, but after doing 944 turbo water pumps, the Boxster will seem real easy.
