Mustangs that got away
My first car was a 64 1/2 Mustang with a 260V8. Bought it at 15 after washing dishes all summer long and into 11 grade. Total barn find, owner said the motor only needed to be put back together. It had diamond plate floors. and a perfect front grill. white over red, 3 on the floor. I devoured Mustang magazines and lusted after fastbacks.
Motor turned out to be junk, really junk and I finally ended up selling it and going into 240Z's. Of course that car is worth a fair bit today. Wish we had just gotten a random 289 or 260 out of a Falcon and gotten it going. 20/20 and all that.
Any other Mustangs get away?
