I don't have any console buttons but the ones on the dash are fog lights(pull out for rear fog light, if equipped), rear defroster, and the cigar lighter.
An owner's manual is a great tool to have in the glovebox. My SC didn't come with one but I ordered one from EBAY and read it cover to cover.
They come up for sale in the Pelican classifieds as well.
I believe the factory knobs that are found inthe console are for A/C. They sometimes put a speaker fader in there as well. If you post a pic someone will confirm what you have.
