Help me understand what you're saying here since I can be a tad slow on the up-take at times. In reading this forum for a couple of years now in my hunt for my first 911, it seems that 100K+ mileage on an '80s 911 is very acceptable and that lower-mile cars can have problems of their own due to 'under-use.' Granted, high-mile cars need to have well documented service histories, preferably from competent shops, but just exactly how are Porsche owners sensitive to high-mile cars? Is it because of high-mile cars that have numerous owners and spotty/no service records? Are these guys any different than other specialty car guys in their aversions, likes and dislikes? Just trying to learn the Porsche world vs. the "rest of world" car-guy thought process!
