putting 17 x 7.5 inch wheels on a 924S will sap all the power and make it handle like crap. It may look 'gangsta' but it'll handle better with 15 x 6s on.

be aware of the full range of tricks for removing stuck bolts and screws. The one I use the most is careful hacksawing the nut off. ATF mixed with a bit of nail polish remover seems to work well at unseizing bolts (no scientific test but seemed to work a few times).

if you have the chance and the space, but a parts car and take every single part off it - a lot of it's worthless and won't sell but it'll teach you a lot about how it all fits together and removes the fear from working on your own car (you've already broken the part so know how to do it 'for real').
