This was designed for some pretty rough use, but could still hurt you easily. One of the often overlooked injuries is a broken arm during a roll over. You can protect yourself with wrist cuffs like the ones below hanging from the steering yoke:
I had a friend stuff his into a creek bed (he missjudged the height of the bank). The front brush guard stuck and brought him to a dead stop instantly. Really rang his bell. No lasting injuries, but he was very sore for a couple of weeks.
