Sounds like your immoblizer has been activated.
There is a wire connected to the stock radio (chassis?) that needs to be isolated from ground when the radio is removed.
Did you try locking then unlocking the car with the remote to see if it will reset? If it beeps once when it locks it might be looking for the radio.
