Sounds like a fun idea. Some of the things that would be needed would probably be a lot of patience with the owners involved. Helping each other out if something happens to our neighbors beloved 14 would be necessary. Perhaps, we could try to get people that are in cities along the way that couldn't participate for some reason to help us and be a contact for us. Maybe even so far as a place to stay if they were really nice.
Sponsorship seems kind of out of the question, but I don't know.
People would also need to bring TOOLS and SPARE PARTS!!!
and a lot of money lol...our cars do get expensive.
Just some thoughts. Not sure about a meeting place, but this seems like the best route so people don't have to drive all of the way to meet others on the opposite coast.
Anyways, just ideas to kick around,
