Mine was a bench that was at the front door. My Dad hated the thing because it just hit the door when you opened it. One of those funny things in life. Well after Mom unexpectedly passed Dad had me haul it down to my house to give to my Sister. I stored it in my little entry way for my Sis to pick up. Well, she told me, through tears, to leave it in my entry because it seemed to finally have a home of its own. Dad couldn't even say a word without fogging up when he visited.

I use it every day, and now my Mom, in some funny little way, gets to greet everyone who comes and goes through my doorway.
