IMHO it would help tremendously to see some pictures of the cars.
I can't speak for the 914, but the 72T Targa price is bullish - not over the top, but a car selling for that amount gotta be in very good condition (technically and cosmetically) - especially in this color. While originality will always command a premium, sepia may be considered a "special" color by some potential buyers.
