Yes you can have a lighted key, but I have an alternative solution in case you don't have a lighted key...
It is impossible to find the key slot in the dark! I have a push-button LED light on my key chain that helps to see the outside door handle lock... But it's difficult to use with two hands when trying to insert the key into the ignition (awkward to say the least).
