I think the KEP stage one basket is supposed to hold around 500 foot pounds maximum on a good day with a new disc and also depending on how old the pressure plate diaphram spring is.
A friend of mine bought a new KEP stage 2 pressure plate and KEP disc that has a one piece friction material all the way around both sides like a stock Sachs disc. It also has a thicker and heavier duty center section with stronger springs.
KEP said it will handle more torque than the stock disc and it cost around half what the Sachs spring center disc usually goes for retail and it looks better.
I was impressed when I saw it. He hasn't installed it yet so I have no idea how it feels in use.
