The rule is to check in every 2 weeks until they tell you they are not interested any more. If you are antsy after 10 days, it would not be too early to send a message just stating that you wanted to make sure they know that you are still very interested in the job and ready to further introduce yourself in person.

The worst thing you can have as an interviewee or hiring manager is a passive candidate that isn't excited about the job and disappears where you aren't sure if they are even interested in the job.
