I am going up to the Bay Area for the opener.
Last year there were a lot of birds too but none were cooperating. Unless you stalk them (good luck!), they have to be in the mood, otherwise the sheer number of them doesn't count.
The year before then, we got 2 Turkeys 5 minutes after calling.
