The 25th Anniversary or Silver Anniversary Model were customized 911 and 911S models and celebrated 25 years of Porsche sports car manufacture. Production was split as follows: 154 Rest of the world coupes; 150 ROW Targas; 510 U. S. Coupes;& 249 U. S. Targas. They were grouped as option M426. A genuine Silver Anniversary Edition will have a two-stage heated rear window; headlamp washers; Blaupunkt Bamberg radio; electric antenna; presure cast 6-inch wheels; 18mm rear anti-roll bar; black look trim; 380mm diameter sports steering wheel; five-speed transmission; diamond silver metallic paint finish with plaque on the dash. By the way, there was no 2.7 liter badge on the grille. The plaque on Porsche literature places the plaque on the right side of the glove box opening door.
