I think that for the "untuned" ear it will be kind of difficult to tell by sound. The motor should rev up faster than the heavier dual mass equipped cars. And, the downside to the LWF is that it transmits some transmission noise. In my car, there is a slite "rattle" at idle sometimes that I believe is the gear noise from the transmission that is wicking through the flywheel and becomes audible.
