need more info...

What year? C2 or C4? Options? Coupe or Cabrio? 6 speed manual hopefully, subtract $5k (at least) for a tiptronic. Driver use I assume with that kind of mileage.

If it is a late '97-'98 993 6 speed coupe with good options (LSD, sport seats/steering wheel, etc..), with a recent $7k top end, a nice color (+$1k to $2k)I'd say $30k is a fair price, not great.

If it's a base stripper '95, it's a bit too high (maybe $3k to $4k too high). The '95 models still have the dreaded SAI issues (just no CEL/OBD I) and they all seem to have substandard valve guide material - the $7k top end should have taken care of both issues. The recent $7k top end is a big plus, it sounds like a great "usable" 993.

I'd love to find a nice 993 driver myself some day. All the electronic are a bit scary in an older car (compared to the classic '64 to '89), but I think it's basically a sound machine.
