I started the jacking with the usual 1-1/2 ton jack stands, then had to run out and get the big ones. I suggest you invest in some of the larger stands. They're not that expensive and it's worth the peace of mind.
If you remove the CIS ribbed boot and cover the TB and air plate with rags, you'll gain a bit more room.
