I have a 30" inseam and have to move the seat closer but my youngest son who is a couple of inches shorter than me needed a closer setting. So I made a 1" wooden extensions for the brake, clutch, and gas pedal extensions in 1998 and still have them at the moment. And Rennline aluminum pedals on them.

So my next project is to do same conversion for my son's '87 Carrera whose wife is barely 5 feet tall and likes to drive stick shift. But instead of using wooden materials, I'll use synthetic or hard rubber materials to prevent the spacers from cracking or falling apart. The 1" wood has a tendency to dry up and crack over time.
