Yes, I did view those pics and it is interesting. I, in my earlier research, did view a number of photos and referenced many various Porsche 993 Targa parts diagrams to see what was needed. I had not come across such an item. My installation did not incorporate that trim piece but merely the item #23 + the adhesive sealer all compressed when bolted down at the fastening points. It has been a solid weatherproof installation appearing to look "OEM" that I am satisfied with and have no intent in adding/changing out.
If you locate the filler piece, it would be a nice addition in your conversion since you are in the "parts acquisition phase" of your project. And it is good to know you have an option.
Note: What is the 993 part number of that piece? I would like to check my old references if it was missed.
