I did mine that way. I cut the dimple off the end of the hard line and ran the hose up on the hard line about 6" and used 3 clamps. Its been about 3 years and no leaks. That line from Porsche is $$$$.
Can't remember size. Just cut a piece off and take it in to the parts store.
