more info...
the throw out bearing was in our hands and fine when the WEVO clutch was rebuilt last month. The WEVO is the 4th clutch in a year as I unwittingly tore up us 2 Sachs Power kits (no real outstanding info readily available that they're only good for about 240 rwhp w/straps!), then Patrick Motorsports assured me his modified strengthened strap clutch could handle the power (not so much), and then WEVO's clutch sheared the clutch bolts so with Hayden's input we rebuilt his unit with through bolts replacing the threaded originals. Might as well be a zipper on this thing. The noise existed from the get go with the original Sachs kit though it was very subdued back then.
I just discovered there is no noise in first gear under load and no noise in reverse. The est of the description remains accurate but there is the possibily that it is changing mechanical pitch, albeit slightly, up and down with rpms under load.
I don't know the history of the pilot bearing...
P.S. to all... Yes I know a G50 is righteous but can't afford it now.
