If the engine and trans have never been touched, how about the brakes? clutch? rubber suspension bushings / shocks etc?

While some motors do last 200-300K miles it sure seems more risky paying a high market price and THEN have to spend big money on rebuilding an engine or trans. As someone mentioned, you would be way upside down and moving forward, folks would never pay big money for a super high miles (above 200K) example.
