Yes this could be your cause, I think that it was my main cause
I thought the head gasket was blown as you normally would but
after taking the head gasket off I saw nothing wrong with the gasket
so I think it was the oil cooler seals the whole time. The coil cooler seals
were upgraded to better ones as the original ones had some design
flaw that would allow them to eventually leak. I don;t know why it only
works in the one direction as far as only coolant in oil and not vice versa
but I think it has to do with the way the fluid flow thru the cooler and the
design of the seals only allows it to mix one way?
