Sometimes I am not "real" organized, but last week I reached a new level, I can't find my spare fuel tank. I've been looking through my "stuff" for a couple weeks now, drove out and checked my storage unit today, and searched all my old emails for clues tonight. Best I can figure is that I did "something" with it Jan/2010, which could have been putting it in my black car, but I don't recall what etc. Getting old is such fun.
When I last messed with the fuel tank on my US 83 some part of my install wasn't right, maybe too thick of replacement foam on the support, something binding, not clear what, but its cracked at the curved part of the support on the bottom and is leaking. Crack is at a stress point where a patch I think would be pointless, at least it seemed that way when I would sure I had a spare tank around someplace.
Looks like Monday morning I am shopping for a fuel tank, thinking seriously of skipping directly to a new tank, instead of messing with finding, checking, cleaning a used one.
