Tom, have you been able to work on the bike yet?

I took my tank off last night with recent fueling issues to find that the lower black ring around the fuel pump has fragged out into a bunch of pieces. The filter sock is very brittle and I think the pump sucked up some of the debris from the black ring.

I'm not sure what to replace at this point since all of the filter, pump, and injectors may be affected. Ideally I'd do them all, but my wallet tends to pick and choose. I'm going to start by cleaning the tank and hoping that the black plastic pump seat debris was clogging the intake sock. The pump might be shot. I'll be doing the external filter mod, so after installation, I'll quickly be able to visually see if there is enough fuel pressure coming off of the pump and out of the filter. If not, I know that my injectors are bad. Right now they don't make much of a mist. It could be bad injectors, but it might just be low fuel pressure.
