A 911S of, say pristine 1973 condition is a $100K car (maybe more- 140K?). Well, it was also about $12-13K when new, and at least where I live, many things seem to cost about 8-10x more today than in 1973.. So 12K then is 120K now. Which is also about the same money for a new GT3. <br>

Excellent point. Don't get me wrong, the long hood cars have the look and feel of what the 911 was originally designed for. With that said, a GT3 versus an early 911S, that's an easy choice for me to make. I just don't think the earlier cars are worth that kind of money. It's what we saw with all original muscle cars 5 years ago. IMHO, the early cars are in a bubble. I would love one, just not at that over inflated price.
