That seems like a lot of money for a bike that is really best used at the track.
It is kind of like a ZR1 Corvette, Viper, or a GT2 Porsche. A halo offering that gets lots of oohs and ahhhs...
but in the real world, the power can't be utilized, and I would think that the harsh dynamics become discouraging to even use.
Then again, I have never been a huge fan of super-sports and race-replica bikes for the street. They look cool on magazine covers, I can't imagine that they are as rewarding to ride at or near a speed limit.
And they hood-wink young novice riders into thinking that a hyper-sport is a cool bike to start on... which is dangerous.
That HP4 is an expert level machine with a narrow-focus on what it is truly good at... and public roads don't allow it.
I am sure it is a nice feather in BMW's cap... so to speak... but I wish they would get back to building truly innovative real-world road bikes... like a more interesting R1200R or a new R1200S.
