question about brake wear sensor wire harness - NOT the sensor itself.

can any of the wires in the harness be soldered together so that the "brake pad" light turns off inside the cluster? or, can this actually be done? that is, connect the wires so they simulate the closed circuit of the sensor that sits in the brake pad? N.B. this disables the sensor function.

I'd prefer to directly short wires in the wire harness, rather than doing things to the cluster, or other such approaches - unless they are trivial.

I tried deciphering the shop manual schematic and most newsgroups, and I gather this cannot be done.
