For the Pelican brain trust...
Just got off the phone with electromotive. They say do NOT mount the controller in the engine compartment. It will work for awhile but heat soak will cause longevity issues that require the box to be sent back for rework.
And, the cable run from the controller to the DFU shall not be longer than 10ft. Which rules out the front trunk
