I would question if the engine and transmission were any good. Aluminum rots just like many other metals. As to question on the mahogany........just find a specialty wood store.
Probably a veneer, and if not, then the store will slice you chunk.....all it takes is money.
In all my years I have never seen a car that bad..........damn...........
