I have ramps at my workshop so the job was much easier for me. The biggest problem I thought I would have with a UK car was rusted in header bolts. To my surprise they all came out quite easy. You will need some good heat on them to release them if they are rusted in a bit. You need a torch with a small flame, by that I mean, not a big spread out type of flame, some plumbers torches are good for this job. My header bolt holes lined up ok, with the exception of one which I eased a little, you don't want your bolts going in on an angle in an Alli head. The thing is to get them all started well before you tighten up. As someone else has said if you are working on your back the job is more difficult, (I have done lots of this in the past) but still if you are on a good floor, which you need to be, it can be enjoyable and satisfying. Make sure you get the car high enough in the air on stands at the back end. Also have everything at hand before you start.
