I just wanted to let you guys know how easy it is to bleed the clutches no the R12/HP2's.
I picked up the Vitamol V10 at one of the local dealers for $18/250ml. That is bloody robbery, but stick with me......
I used a 10ml syringe and a bit of plastic pipe.......sucked the Vitamol out of the container........put the pipe on the slave cylinder bleed nipple.......opened the nipple and forced the fluid up into the nipple.
10ml did get the fluid into the reservoir, but I still had no clutch........installed a hose on the bleeder at the reservoir and bled it about 5 times........bled the slave once........and now have a nice clutch feel.
I used about 20ml of Vitamol.......so....that $18 for 250ml equates to about 12 bleed jobs........or about $1.50 a bleed job!
If you take it into that context, it's pretty cheap and you are still using the recommended fluid!
Cheers
