Sergio, another time perhaps. I did make it up there Monday for lunch. The lunch special was a bbq baby back rib sandwich, nom nom nom! Great weather, the road wasn't too crowded, very few rocks and not a single CHP to be seen on the way up or back down. Just the way I like it!
I spoke to one of the guys from Newcomb's Ranch and he said there were three CHP up on the hill on Sunday, but that they were all up above Newcomb's and not really writing tickets at all. The way that news report sounded it looked like they would be out in full harassment mode. Looks like that wasn't the case, but still, it kept me off the road that day. Perhaps that's what they were hoping for, spread the word, keep a few riders off the mountain. In my case it worked...
