you asked if the price was too much, so here's my opinion.

928leather in MI re 'skins' these to factory for $650. I have never had one done there, nor have I seen one personally. Mind you, I do plan to have this done to mine. Assuming the job they do is good, i'd value an original in excellent condition at $350 to $400. If it was absolutely perfect, perhaps up to $500. My reasoning is that it's an old dash. Will it crack at some point? Probably. Whereas I wouldn't expect a newly re skinned one to do so.

Just my 5 cents obviously.
