I have had my front shocks out recently, 1982 model,
I found it quite easy to undo the two nuts either side in the engine bay that hold the UPPER arm, 3 nuts on top of the tower, bolt through the eye of the strut to the lower arm, pull the upper arm out into the wheel well , leave it connected to the hub, with a little juggling strut drops down and out.easy.
