I had the same exact thing happen to mine a few weeks ago leaving the starting line of an autocross, lots of people to witness the carnage. I will be in the market for another transaxle in a week or two i think. Anyone know of any reasonable (i.e. not thousands of dollars) upgrades to keep it from happening again? Any reason to think the 968 transaxles have stronger pinion gears/ can they be gotten for a reasonable price?
