Garage
We just got home from our trip to The Hunter region, it was a shame that the day was a wash out but I don't think I would have made it even if it was bright sunshine.
As it turned out, I tried to start my car later on Sunday evening and she didn't want to go. She is used to a dry garage and not sitting out in the rain, perhaps the lightning & thunder scared her. She got going but then changed her mind and chucked it in about 20 metres down the hill and had to get towed back by one of the neighbours, thanks Dave.
On Monday, I managed to get a bit of WD40 on to the distributors and she happily got started, I warmed it up and shut it down till we got ready to go for a drive but when we went to set off she again chucked a hissy fit and spluttered, coughed and farted a little but no go.
I figured it had to be moisture in the dissy's but I had run out of WD40. Mark at the resort rounded up some more and a garage that was not in use so with the few tools I had with me, we managed to get the caps off (not so easy in a 993) and sure enough they were very wet.
I dried them out and bingo, she is happy again.
Now we are back home I'll take her apart again and replace the caps and rotors and possibly the leads too.
So now we pray for a dry January...
