I think 30 rounds of .22 mag would be a pretty good HD pistol, with low penetration and easy for the misses to handle.

JMHO of course!
I am curoius: can you get .22 mag rounds that are made for defense and significantly penetrating? Anything I have seen is made to explode on a small game or varmint.
