They should be easier to use on aluminum arms. because the bottom mount would just need an adapter like what people already use for coilovers. I'd be looking at using the ones with the poly bushings and having some spacers machined so I can use the stock 12mm hardware. The spacers I'm thinking of would replace the sleeve that's in the bushings and convert them to a stock width.
I guess the guy who posted that thread no longer owns the car. He says he thinks they could get to the knobs without unbolting them, but isn't entirely sure.
