Hi all,

I'm hoping to get some advice from the collective.

I've been offered a 1966 911 (I think). I've been dreaming of a long hood car for years but always seem priced out of the market. This one popped up at the right price so I bought it sight unseen.

Some time in the early 90's someone did the "Miami vice" wide body steel kit and whale tail, new fuel injected motor and all new 80's interior.

I guess this is really a 2-3 question post.

1. What exactly do I have.


2. Is it worth trying to take it back to stock

3. Is it better to cut my losses and sell as is to someone with more skills to build.

As is sits it really is just another wide body hot rod that has been sitting outside for 12 years. The only value to me is bringing it back to stock.

Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated.
