Waiiiiiiiiiiiit!
This kept me thinking, so I went home and found the wiring stuff I wrote down (helpfully on the back of the diagram I printed from this site). On the back of my switch (a '69), bearing in mind my car is NOT pristine, and neither is the wiring....
Terminal
30 - thick red - power
58L - 2x grey/black - park lights
58R - 2x grey/red - park light
56 - yellow wire AND white/black wire - yellow = headlights (through high/low switch), white/black - I have nothing noted - it might have done nothing?
K - grey - licence plate lights
58a - black/purple - instrument lights
57 - white/green - the high beam indicator in the speedo
I had tested each of these by connecting the individual wires to the red from the 30 terminal. Yeeeeehawwww!
Now, the bit I remember being confused on.
There was ALSO a yellow connected to terminal 30 (its a double terminal). I followed that along under the dash to..... nothing. So for speed add lightness - I took it out of the car.
Hope this helps
