So what is considered of greater value in a 944, mechanical or body/interior. I just picked up a beautiful 86 NA with sport seats and fuchs, and paint in very good condition, dash and seats perfect, but the mechanicals are nothing special. I could see this as a very desirable car at a fathers day car show. But it isn't going to win any races.
