Very clever to cut the hole in the back side of the shroud so he can get to the bolt on the back of the intake. Must have done this before :-).
Interesting they run no alternator on the motor (or did they not show it). So they do sprint races on the battery only?
I used to do that on my datsun running SCCA Production racing. Saved a pound and added a horsepower but it was a pain.
