The front cap is a disc that is pressed in and usually staked. They do come out if you hit them hard with a hammer. sometimes torsion bars are so stuck you have to move them forward to push off the cap so you can then drive them back out the other side.
Just hammer the cap back into place. I have never seen one come out on its own.
