What are you doing to replace the glass mirror portion in the outside mirrors?
I need some help with mirrors. I have been trying to have a glass shop cut some mirrors for me to replace the old outside mirrors that are getting faded along the edges. I cannot get any of the local shops to cut mirrors for me. Not the regular glass and mirror shops, nor the auto glass shops. They all say the same thing; no we can cut a mirror for a car. You have to order it from the dealer or from an aftermarket supplier. Then they check their list for a 1974 914 and it is not on the list. Any suggestions?
