We are in the process of replacing the clutch in our 82-924 (among other things!). The book (Haynes) says to use MoS2 base multipurpose grease for all rubbing surfaces. What is MoS2 grease? Can any of you recommend a product by name that will serve in this application.
Also they recommend Lithium grease, NLGI grade 3 for the needle bearings in the flywheel. What can be used here? My parts store down the street has grade 2 Lithium.
And finally, the cv joints at the rear wheels require molybdenum. Who makes this product?
It took me so long to get this vehicle apart (that's a whole story in itself) and pieces are so expensive, I don't want to screw anything up by cutting a corner or using the wrong lubricant.
